We Are Passionate About Driving
In an industry dominated by a 2,000 year old design model, new ideas are more often stifled than adopted. Convergent was created specifically to change that dynamic. Convergent’s principals have decades of experience in developing and delivering problem solving technologies.
Although faced with numerous regulatory, distribution and cultural obstacles to stormwater innovation, Convergent believes that adopting new ideas quickly, and integrating the process of innovation into our stormwater regulation, product development and distribution channels is the only answer to our looming water crisis. The time for accepting the status quo, encouraging regulatory over-prescription, operating on the basis of minimum requirements and stifling innovation is past.
Drawing on years of experience and a diversity of partnerships, Convergent delivers best-in-class systems and services for stormwater management that exceed expectations and recognize that cost-effectiveness is a powerful catalyst for change.

David L. Batts | VP
David Batts grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast where he spent every free moment he had on the water. It was fitting that as a professional he found himself helping protect the very ecosystem that he enjoyed as an adolescent. Promoting innovative new water management strategies is as much of a passion as it is how he makes a living, and he often finds himself far from home presenting to anyone that will listen about his latest finding or lesson learned in his pursuit of perfection in Green Infrastructure Design and Construction Methods. He is an avid fisherman and conservationist and spends as much time as possible with his wife and two boys enjoying nature.
W. Scott Gorneau, P.E. | VP
As Vice President of Stormwater for Convergent Water Technologies, Mr. Gorneau is responsible for managing accounts seeking to grow their businesses by offering innovative green infrastructure\low impact stormwater solutions that enable new applications and raise the bar on performance, cost effectiveness and verification.
Earning a BS in Biological Systems Engineering in 1996 and a MS in Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering in 1998 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln provided the necessary knowledge for Gorneau to launch his career into the technical sales and the specified engineered products industry. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Maine and New Hampshire, and a Maine Certified Stormwater Inspector.
Growing up in Maine, he was fortunate to experience an abundance of natural resources in both summer and winter. He is an avid fishermen, outdoorsman and “defender” of natural resources. He and his wife of 23 years have been blessed with two remarkable children.
