David Headshot 2

David Batts | President

Since 2006, David has been blessed to work with a team of highly creative and innovative individuals to collectively change the way stormwater is managed in Houston, throughout the state of Texas, and with Convergent Water Technologies, the rest of the country. His unique history managing stormwater distribution, installation and maintenance companies allows him to bring an expertise to Convergent that focuses on stormwater and the regulations that govern it through the lens of the designer, the contractor, and ultimately the developer or property manager. If your next project isn’t looking at smart, sustainable approaches, then you may be looking over one of the biggest opportunities to increase lot yield and drive value on your next project.

While being developer minded, David is also a LEED Accredited Professional, National Green Infrastructure Certification Program Trainer and specializes in Sustainable Site Design strategies and Low Impact Development. He challenges his team to look at every project through the eyes of the developer and the environment . How can we provide ecological benefits that result in immediate economic value to the property? We have shown the results on hundreds of projects.

Growing up on the Texas Gulf Coast, water has always been an integral part of his life. Exploring the estuaries, combing the beaches and spending his summers working on deep sea fishing boats gave him a unique perspective on what the results of urbanization look like to those downstream. His focus now is preserving those resources so that his children can enjoy that same love of water.
